what i learned from New Orleans ..

Honestly.. I am here just since august 2012 .. but I can say :

New Orleans is a beautiful city, not only for the beauty of it's weather and nature, but also the beauty of what they have learned from them .

I learned to go back to study again, to study English language as One language of communication between people in this city.

People here are very nice .. I learned from them love to help with a smile.

I like a lot to hear jazz music everywhere .. and atmosphere of celebrations (Thanksgiving and Christmas).

City here is restless , all things here are excited .. That's what I love ..

But .. the life is not perfect.. As I learned beautiful things .. I also learned some ugly stuff ..

For example :

I learned in New Orleans that don't walk at night alone .. Not all places are safe .. I also learned to be very careful during car driving because reckless driving here.

Often .. i stop at two stores:

Candy store

and toys store

Then start asking questions to myself :

Am i will enter the store?

How long will i stay here inside?

Will i buy anything?

And a lot of questions that I can not find the answers!!

Without Give myself time to respond I find myself inside the store and spent hours without getting tired or bored .

 

I do not know Is it necessary to change this practice habit ... but I see it's nice to be a child again, even for a moment.

Sometimes .. I hope to become a man .. for example .. sleep (as woman) and then wake up in the morning (as man).. I think I'll be winning most of the time

My Happy Thanksgiving

In the thanksgiving I and Sami went to Sami's friend  for lunch. Honestly this is my first time to be with american family for thanksgiving.

at 3 pm we were gathered around the dining table and was the big meal of turkey.before that , Sami and his friend were discussed things about there work . I was helping in preparing of the meal.

I enjoyed the food a lot with lovely family.after that we went to movie theater and watch the new movie it's name (life of pi). I like this movie and we discussed the message of the movie. Finally I want to say that we enjoyed and spent a good time.

  

In my opinion:

The thanksgiving day it's the best time for 3 things: family,friends and food.

Short Films

I like short films..because They send many messages through limited minutes ranging from a minute to 45 minutes. Some of these films without voices , you have to understand and interpret the objective of the film. Other films , the characters are fanciful (not real characters).

 The most important point for me is that , most of these films have a great and important messages.

We are a family..and we have some differences between us..such as:

Sami is taller than me.

He likes documentary programs more than me.

I like music more than sami.

In the breakfast, he likes to eat cake but I like to drink coffee.

He is older than me.

Although all of theses differences , we love each other so much.

New Orleans in my opinion

One year ago, I was in small town in Georgia state..its name is (Augusta).there was no institute for English language to be able to apply for master degree. so I like New Orleans because of this reason.
I like the weather here because it's like the weather in my country.Also the food here is delicious specially seafood.

Every day when I go home in downtown area,the streets are so traffic,So I don't like this.Also I don't like that I'm living in the hurricane city.

Art in My Life

since I was child,drawing and painting were my favorite hobby.I was drawing things from nature like trees,sun and flowers . Also I was buying books about the basics of drawing.
After graduation from high school,I joined to art school in the university to have more experience in this field.

I have small collection at my home of paints and other collection here where all of these were done by me.

 I wish to continue in this field and spend more time to get more education. I hope one day to have my own Gallery to share my collection with other people.

The Holiday in My Country

The (EID) is special day in my country.We have 2 EId days in every year.
The first one is (Eid Alfter) and the second one is (Eid Aldha).Celebration for Eid continue for 3 days.
The EID is special time for family to stay together.

                              Children love this day because they get a lot of gifts

One of the common customs for women is (hannah painting).

                       People say to each other in this day: HAPPY EID or EID MUBARK.
